Harajuku is a fashion laboratory. Establishing itself in the 1990s as Tokyo’s fashion centre, Harajuku is a continually evolving area where the eccentric fashions of a rebellious, nonconformist youth culture paradoxically meet the luxury stores and global brands of mass consumption. In “Harajuku Crew” this juxtaposition is captured in an instant, with a group of free-spirited local youths passing by the towering enticements of fashion giant Yves Saint Laurent’s #YSL04 Summer 2017 ad campaign. The group, dwarfed by the display, seem to pay little attention as they approach, promising to walk past unphased by Saint Laurent’s offer. Model Lexi Boling peers out from the relentless, repetitive screens in the shop window as if trying excessively to grab the groups attention. Although, with closer inspection, her laser focus is not on the passing group at all, but fixed directly, seductively down the camera lens to the photo’s viewer.

All prints and framed prints are made-to-order for you. Prints are printed on high-quality archival cotton rag fine art paper with a white border. Each print is limited edition certified and shipped rolled. Framed prints are Shadow Box frames with the print set back from the protective glazing.
Though some grain and blur may be present due to the unique properties of these works, all prints are reproduced at high resolution to reduce any irregularities. Imperfection in hand-held street photography is why we love it!
